Here at Toybox Day Nursery we believe Play is vital for children. It helps them to understand the world around them and to develop socially and emotionally. It is through play that our children learn, develop at their own pace and have fun with adults who understand, support and care about them. We want the children we care for to feel secure, not pushed or pressured, and to have the confidence to deal with whatever life brings. 

The EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) is the statutory framework for children from 0 – 5 years. It categories children’s learning and development into seven areas. We, on every level of our staffing, ensure children can access these daily and continuously. Children are encouraged to develop their confidence, self-esteem and play skills using the resourceful environment around them.

Our strong and effective keyworker systems aim to strengthen the parent partnership. These relationships help to support and address the assessments of children. We as a nursery, understand and appreciate that parents are the primary educators of their children.

Our informative displays and inclusions of all allow us to be involved in the lives of our children. We aim to incorporate the different cultures in to our diverse environment allowing input opportunities time and time again.
